About Lou Malnati's
Chicago's legendary deep dish pizza since 1971. A story of passion, tradition, and authentic Italian-American cuisine.
Our Story
Founded in 1971 by Lou Malnati, our family restaurant began with a simple mission: to serve the best deep dish pizza in Chicago. What started as a single location in Lincolnwood has grown into a beloved Chicago institution, but our commitment to quality and authentic recipes remains unchanged.
Lou Malnati learned the art of pizza-making working at Chicago's legendary Pizzeria Uno, where he perfected his craft under the guidance of Ike Sewell and Ric Riccardo. When Lou opened his own restaurant, he brought with him not just recipes, but a passion for creating the perfect deep dish pizza experience.
Today, we continue Lou's legacy, using the same time-honored techniques and premium ingredients that made us famous. Every pizza is hand-crafted with care, using our exclusive sausage blend, vine-ripened tomato sauce, and Wisconsin mozzarella on our signature flaky, buttery crust.
Our Mission
To honor the legacy of Lou Malnati by consistently delivering exceptional deep dish pizza and outstanding hospitality, while staying true to our Chicago roots and family values.
We believe that great pizza brings people together. Every day, we strive to create not just delicious food, but memorable experiences that strengthen our community connections and celebrate the rich tradition of Chicago-style deep dish pizza.
